Don Sharp

President & CEO, Board Member
A highly respected innovator with more than 29 years of industry and consulting experience, Don Sharp leads the team at Coolfire–a connected workstream collaboration software company to improve event awareness, control, and response. From strategic direction to day-to-day operations, he describes the key aspects of his leadership role as “pulling together all the pieces, plus getting the best talent we can possibly find, getting them focused and leading them to success.” Don joined Coolfire in 2013, after five and a half years of implementing advanced technologies at Navistar Inc. As vice president and CIO, then as senior vice president of Enterprise Services, he drove transformations that resulted in several hundred million dollars in cost reductions.

His earlier experience includes eight years managing large-scale technology initiatives at Accenture, and 10 years in senior leadership roles with various technology firms, including his own startup firm.

Don’s breadth of experience, from start-up entrepreneur to Fortune 250-company C-suite executive, allows him to bring a unique perspective to his role at Coolfire. His diversity of knowledge, and strength as a strategic thinker and problem solver are valuable assets.

He sees the challenge of introducing a software product to a new market as one of the greatest rewards of working with Coolfire. He appreciates the talent of the Coolfire team, as well as opportunities to interact with customers and drive value for the company.

Beyond his role at Coolfire, Don has served as vice chairman for the Greater Chicago Chapter of March of Dimes, and a trustee of the Morton Arboretum. He is currently a vice-chairman of North Central College, as well as a commissioner and secretary of the Dupage Airport Authority. He is also a board member of MedAware Solutions, Inc.

Don is a frequent speaker at executive roundtables, educational forums and industry events, on topics ranging from technology trends to overcoming new challenges posed by technology’s increasing complexities. He has earned numerous awards for economic development and public relations excellence.

A graduate from the University of Notre Dame, Don holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

David Levinson

Chief Financial Officer
With a record of sound financial guidance in complex, uncharted and rapid growth settings, David Levinson leads daily strategic, financial and administrative operations for Coolfire. In addition to what he describes as “keeping the lights on and making sure people get paid,” Dave says the most important aspect of his role is “partnering with the rest of our leadership team to build a world-class company where people want to come to work every day.”

Dave came to Coolfire in 2017 after serving as CFO for OneSpace, a venture-backed software business. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at EY leading audits of public and private software and technology companies, and later specializing in financial due diligence and strategic finance projects for private equity and strategic clients. During this time, he assisted with over 100 transactions, with deal values ranging from $5 million to $15 billion. Dave is an experienced negotiator, completing multiple equity financings from premier venture capital investors, establishing term and revolving credit agreements, and completing strategic business acquisitions. Having managed multiple business lines and departments for venture-backed start-ups and growth-stage companies, he was excited to bring his strategic skills and big-picture perspective to the Coolfire team. “I like working at a growth-stage company,” he says. “We have great people who are passionate about what they’re doing and where Coolfire is going.”

Dave is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also advises early-stage technology companies on an ad hoc basis. In 2013, he was honored by the St. Louis Business Journal as CFO of the Year in the Small Corporation division.

A graduate of Washington and Lee University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting, Dave lives in St. Louis with his wife and twin daughters.

Mark Rogers

Chief Revenue Officer

As CRO, Mark leads a growing team of driving professionals who create high-impact customer solutions and develop strategic partnerships to help Coolfire reach all corners of the globe. He sees the most important aspect of his role as “hiring and helping a great team to consistently bring all the best Coolfire has to offer to the market.”

As senior vice president of Business Development, Mark helped pioneer the low-code application development market, landing Mendix in Gartner leadership quadrants year over year and contributing to its acquisition by Siemens in 2018 for $760M.

Prior to this, Mark held several senior roles at Microsoft, including head of product management for Microsoft Azure during its 2009 launch, which formed the foundation for the overall Microsoft cloud strategy that continues today. In addition, he led the Microsoft Windows Developer and ISV ecosystem for the very successful global launch of Windows 7.

In past positions, he has also been a leader of strategic revenue-producing partnerships and channels across several web services and middleware companies, such as Iona Technologies, the creator of CORBA, and Identify Software, now part of BMC Software.

Through value creation and integrity in action, Mark is a proven developer of new revenue and lasting customer relationships and partnerships. He brings these skills to Coolfire, where he sees his greatest challenge as keeping up with the creativity of the Coolfire team. “I love the passion and deep insight Coolfire people have for collaboration, in corporate headquarters, across trading partners, and all the way to border patrols in the Middle East,” he says.

After earning bachelor’s degrees in finance and marketing at of DePaul University, Mark attended graduate school at Miami University of Ohio. Outside of work, he enjoys participating in marathons, bike racing, and blue-water sailing.

Aaron Eversgerd

VP, Marketing
As Vice President of Marketing, Aaron defines and drives marketing and brand strategy. Working closely with the Sales and Executive teams, Aaron is responsible for ensuring the execution of the company’s marketing strategy and its brand marketing, lead generation, PR and customer advocacy initiatives.

Prior to joining Coolfire, Aaron drove the digital strategy and product management efforts at OneSpace, Winn-Dixie and Web.com, as well as lead operational excellence at Network Solutions and MonsterCommerce. Aaron graduated from McKendree University with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and later his MBA. 

Marc Amarillas

VP, Customer Success
As the leader of the Customer Success team, Marc’s entire role is summarized by his title. He enables customers to use Coolfire’s product by providing top-notch customer support, building unique solutions for unique business challenges, and by advocating for them throughout the company.  Marc leverages his advanced technical background to effectively communicate with Product Engineering, Sales, and Marketing in support of our shared Product vision.

Daniel Ustian

Board Member
Daniel Ustian is the former chairman, president and chief executive officer of Navistar International Corporation (NYSE: NAV), a manufacturer of commercial trucks, buses, and defense vehicles. He served as CEO from February 2003 to August 2012 and Chairman of the Board from February 2004 to August 2012.Before being named CEO, Ustian served as president and chief operating officer since April 2002, overseeing the company’s truck and engine operations and participating in the development of the company’s strategic direction and growth initiatives. Ustian’s focus on operational excellence encouraged several breakthrough technologies that drove the company’s product capability and increased sales.
Since 2012 Ustian has been serving as advisor, investor, chairman or owner of several firms across various industries.

Ustian received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from DePaul University, where he now serves on the Board of Trustees.

Brad O’Halloran

Board Member
Brad O’Halloran is the Executive Director of Investor Relations / Managing Principal for Brennan Investment Group. Mr. O’Halloran has a wide range of business, educational and government service experience. Mr. O’Halloran formerly served, as Regional Director of Development for the University of Notre Dame, cultivating key high-level benefactors for the University and representing it’s various interests within the Chicago Metropolitan area.

Prior to joining the University, Mr. O’Halloran held the position of Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Development for Duty Free International and its successor company World Duty Free, a wholly owned subsidiary of BAA, plc. In this capacity, Mr. O’Halloran, oversaw all mergers and acquisition activity for the corporation as well as strategic marketing and key partnership development. Mr. O’Halloran came to Duty Free International when he merged his specialty retail operation, Sports Section Inc. with DFI in 1989. He was subsequently involved in the successful IPO of Duty Free International on the NYSE in 1993 and its subsequent sale to BAA plc. in 1999.

Mr. O’Halloran has been a serial entrepreneur throughout his career with interests in over 19 companies and current interests in half a dozen in various stages of development.

Mr. O’Halloran currently serves on the Board of Directors for Old Plank Trail Bank, a subsidiary of Wintrust Financial Corporation. He also is a founding member and on the Executive Board of Irish Angels.

In addition, he is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Airports Council International, the International Visitors Center of Chicago, and the Chicago Chamber of Commerce. He also served as a member of the board of the Village of Orland Park, Metra and of the State of Illinois Architectural Licensing Board.

Mr. O’Halloran holds a bachelor’s degree, as well as a Masters, Business Administration (Magna cum Laude) from the University of Notre Dame.

Yom Senegor

Board Member
Since 2016, Yom Senegor has been the Chairman and CEO of Medaware Solutions, a company that provides technology and services to the healthcare industry. The company has built a mobile communication and leverages this technology to provide home based healthcare for high risk patients and high utilizers of clinical resources.

From 2007 to 2016, Yom Senegor was the CEO of Senegor LLC, a company that provides consulting services to major insurance companies in addition to investment and advisory services to early-stage start-ups. From 2001 to 2006, Yom Senegor served as EVP, CIO, and Head of Corporate Strategy for Safeco Insurance. In this role, he led the company’s Information Technology (IT) organization and directed corporate strategy initiatives. He was a member of the senior leadership team that engineered the company’s turnaround where Technology played a key role in that transformation.

Prior to Safeco, Senegor held a number of senior positions at the international consulting firm Accenture. During his 20-year service at Accenture, he helped some of the nation’s largest insurance companies develop automated underwriting capabilities and integrated computing systems. His last position at Accenture was Central Region Managing Partner for Insurance and Chicago Office Managing Partner, where his responsibilities included leading a team of more than 30 partners and associate partners in providing consulting services to major insurance companies. He has extensive experience in the design and implementation of business solutions using state-of-the-art technology.

Senegor is a graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science.

Scott Sheldon

Board Member
Scott Sheldon is the former EVP, President & COO at Allegiant Travel Company. He served as COO/CFO from 2017 through April 2019, SVP and CFO from 2010 until 2017, and served as VP and Principal Accounting Officer from 2007 until 2010. Prior to that, Mr. Sheldon served in other accounting and finance positions for Allegiant from 2004 until 2007. From 2001 until 2004, Mr. Sheldon worked in public accounting for the Perry-Smith, LLP regional public accounting firm in Sacramento, California.

Bob Wetzel

Board Member
Robert (Bob) Wetzel is Vice President of Corporate Development at Enterprise Holdings, where he leads the Company’s Corporate Development activities, including mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate venture capital investments. Bob also has strategic planning roles and responsibilities at Enterprise Holdings.

Prior to working at Enterprise, through his advisory company, Bob advised managers and owners of private companies and private equity/venture capital groups, on projects including M&A, temporary Senior Management, international, corporate development, corporate finance, regulatory, due diligence and strategic planning projects. Mr. Wetzel founded Augury Capital in 2007, an emerging technologies venture capital fund with investments in emerging technology companies.

Mr. Wetzel was a Senior Executive at Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, a leading life science company, for over seven years where he was the Managing Director of Eastern Asia and the Operations Manager for Europe. In a Corporate Development Director role at Solutia, Robert was the Founder and Executor of Solutia’s Pharmaceutical Services division where he created Solutia’s world-class pharmaceutical services division in Europe and directed their rapid international growth.

Robert was the CEO of US Spine, a Medical Device Company; President of Process Technologies & Packaging, a contract OTC Pharma and Cosmetics Development and Manufacturing Company; CEO of allvivo, a biotechnology company; and COO of Legacy Pharmaceutical Packaging. Additionally, he was a LBO banker at the Bank of New York. Bob is an active angel investor, and he was a founder, board member, advisor, or owner of numerous other emerging technology companies.

Mr. Wetzel is fluent in English and highly proficient in German. Bob received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University, and a M.B.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University Tepper School of Business.
